Dr. Robert A. Lavine is a clinical psychologist, neuroscience writer, and author of How the Brain Connects to Cognitive and Behavioral Change (2017). He focuses on the cognitive-behavioral approach in psychology. He has been Associate Professor of Pharmacology & Physiology, and of Neurology, The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, and a contributor to The Atlantic,The Scientist, and Psychology Today. His doctoral education was at the University of Chicago and George Mason University.
