Lara K Ronan M.D.

Dr. Ronan is an Associate Professor of Neurology and Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College. She is also the Vice-Chair of Education in the Department of Neurology and Program Director of the Neurology Residency Program at Dartmouth Hitchcock in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Her interests include medical education and physician wellness, as well as visual art and creativity. Dr. Ronan’s current research is engaged in work exploring the role of creativity and the visual, musical, and language arts in fostering wellness for patients and healthcare providers. She teaches Graphic Medicine to medical students and residents, and uses Narrative Medicine to build a deeper understanding of illness in trainees. She attended Vassar College and received her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She completed a Neurology residency at the University of Michigan, where she served as Chief Resident, and a Neuro-oncology fellowship at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
