Elise M. Howard M.A.
Elise M. Howard, M.A., has worked with children and their families for six years in intensive in-home therapy programs, traditional and alternative school settings, a residential unit, and community mental health offices in Massachusetts, Florida, and the U.K.
Howard holds a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Child and Family Therapy from Assumption College. She also served as a graduate research fellow at Assumption College, and completed an independent research thesis at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
Howard has significant experience conducting both Applied Behavioral Analysis and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and is dedicated to the use of evidence-based practices to produce positive change in the lives of children and families. She has seen first-hand the importance of parent and guardian involvement in their children’s success, and strives to provide caregivers with clear and accessible information about counseling so that they can make choices that are right for their families.
Howard is a proud military spouse who has personal experience adapting to the variations in mental health laws, services, and procedures from one state to another. In her spare time, Howard enjoys reading, exploring local museums, and practicing yoga.
